The Lost books... (Or my memory has lost them)...

In the Spring and summer of 2006, I started to design mini scrap books picture frames. I loved making them so much and was gearing up for the Christmas Bazaar that year. But My Mom's health was fading  and i left to be by her side that October and boxed my books up not knowing i would not be back for the Christmas Bazaar.
So the years go by and my books sat in boxes ... From time to time My sons would get the boxes out to show their Girl Friends and the girls would pick out of few they liked... then the boxes would be stored again
                                          Sides of the books
Today as i was  Tagging my Bags for the Bazaar i was looking around my Half storage Half Sewing room and saw the boxes... I was so excited to open them up and see if any of them were in good shape. I was so happy to see they all were nice and safe. Now i have to decided if i want to add them to all my Bags for the Bazaar...
Maybe i will :)  after all the memory keepers need to be holding some memories :) and DANG i wish i knew were the patterns are that i made to make them...

For Halloween, The Mizpah Hotel A real Ghost story.

I know this is a craft Blog, but in Honor of Halloween i would like share share a true Ghost story. It's all about the Mizpah  Hotel In Tonopah Nevada, Maybe you have heard of it? I know Ghost adventures did a show on it last Month,  I have yet to see it but i have been putting it off and i will tell you why...
First things first though, Today My Hubby, Son, His Lovely Girl friend and I decided to have lunch in the newly renovated and finally reopened  Mizpah, i was a little nervous cause of my past there, all was good till i took a look around while waiting for my Hubby, as i approached the hallway to the bath room chills went up and down my spine, it all started coming back, I saw the Dempsy room  Named after the prize fighter Jack Dempsy  who worked at the Mizpah many years ago, I saw the Bar were Wyatt Earp Bar tended  many many years ago and all the sudden it all started coming back, back to 1995/1996
I did not Believe in Ghost when i moved here in 1991,  but i soon found out they do exist.  Late one night in early Nov. 1995 i was in the closed kitchen around 2 in the morning fixing my dinner, i was in a hurry cause i hated being in there alone. i put my food in the microwave hit the start button. i look across from me and see a handle from a filter that holds coffee pull out of the coffee maker it was in and just sit there in mid air... then it dropped to the floor coffee grounds and all... i was freaked so i hit the stop button on the micro wave to get my food and run, as soon as i did that the radio on the shelf above me turned on and  changed channels real fast... i bolted out of there and ask the  Security guard to go get my food... She politely declined, you see Dotty the security guard had many run ins with the ghost as it was she wasn't in the mood that night,  This my Friends is were  Dotty enters my story and continues... One night before the Kitchen Nightmare I was working in the Casino it was a slow night and no customers were there. Dotty comes Hauling butt down stairs.. "Lisa OMG i just saw a ghost".. I was like Ummm Ok Dotty... But Dotty was not Joking i could tell by here white face and heavy breathing she was very "Freaked  Out!"  she took me upstairs and showed me were she saw a Cowboy, Hat and all walk out of one of the rooms, Ok she thought some guy up in the middle of the night. she followed him then saw him turn and walk right threw the wall! 90 years before that wall did not exist it was made in remodeling years before, Well Dotty became use to the ghosts, i on the other hand did not... my nerves started getting the best of me stress was kicking in,  At a break one night Dotty, the manager and i were standing in front of the Pittman room Restaurant,  i see this man walk in there, it was closed the lights were out, and i say Hey Dotty aren't you going to stop that guy, What guy she says, Ummm the one who just walked right in front of us and went into the Pittman room,  No lisa No guy passed in front of us, Yes Dotty he did, he was wearing a robe and sandals and had long hair... she turned the lights on and searched the small Pittman room and no one was there.  Dotty was getting really use  to this,  One last story i saved the best for last,  It was one of the last nights i worked there when you read about it you will understand why... I was again Busy Cleaning in the Casino, another dead night, Did i say Dead??? Yes i mean dead in more ways than one,  Dotty comes down stairs. walks up to me all white faced again, Oh here we go again i think to my self, and i was right!  Lisa Dotty says ummm Come with me for a sec. Ok i was bored I'll  do it, she walks me over to a slot machine and says ok sit here for just a few seconds. i sit... she then asks me to get up and follow her so i do.  we end up in the Security room with all the cameras, she then rewinds a tape and says Watch this and please don't freak out on me. I start watching i see my self walk over to a machine occupied  by a lady dressed in white with a big white brim hat on. and sit down on her OMG. she was there on tape i did not see her when i sat down, she looked grainy but you could tell it was a lady in white dressed in victorian era clothing...  Needless to say I quit my job right after that. i did go back for 2 days when the asked me to come back but left again Faster this time.
Ok so maybe you don't  Believe me. if you don't fine, but i was there i know what i saw, and one thing i do know. if you ever Visit The Mizpah Hotel in Tonopah Nevada Do not do it after a seance  or close to Halloween cause every thing goes Nuts there!
